100 × Siberian squills

Scilla siberica, commonly known as Siberian squill, is a hardy spring bulb with star-shaped blue flowers. It is an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, lawns, containers, and naturalized areas, where its vivid color creates an attractive early-season display.

The compact flowers look particularly effective when planted in groups or allowed to spread naturally. They also provide an early source of nectar for bees and other pollinating insects.

Watering and Care

Water regularly while the plant is actively growing, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogged soil.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

Location

Choose a sunny to partially shaded location with well-draining soil.

Tip

Plant bulbs in groups for a natural-looking display. These early bloomers are especially effective when allowed to spread gradually.
