35 x Tulp 'Negrita'

Tulip 'Negrita' is a rich purple tulip that adds depth and contrast to spring borders, flower beds, containers, and mixed bulb plantings. Its elegant flowers are especially effective when combined with white, pink, or pale yellow spring blooms.

The strong stems also make 'Negrita' suitable for cut-flower arrangements. Plant it in groups for a dramatic block of color or use it as an accent among lighter spring flowers.

Watering and Care

Water regularly during the spring growing season, especially during dry spells. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged.

Maintenance

Remove spent flowers after blooming, but leave the foliage in place until it has naturally yellowed. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.

Location

Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Good drainage helps protect the bulbs from rot.

Tip

Plant bulbs in groups for a fuller, more impressive display. Tulips look particularly striking when planted in clusters.
