5 × Crown imperials 'Aurora'

Fritillaria 'Aurora' is a distinctive spring bulb with nodding, bell-shaped flowers and warm orange tones. Its unusual form makes it an eye-catching addition to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed bulb displays.

The architectural flowers add character to seasonal planting schemes and can be combined with other spring bulbs for contrast. Fritillaria is especially appealing when used as a focal point among lower-growing plants.

Watering and Care

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, while keeping the soil lightly moist rather than wet.

Maintenance

Remove spent flowers and cut the stems back to the base. Allow the foliage to die back naturally and remove it only when it has turned completely brown.

Location

Plant in a sunny, warm location with well-draining soil to help prevent bulb rot.

Tip

In colder areas, add a light layer of leaves over the planting area in winter to provide extra protection from frost.
