50 × Early crocuses 'Ruby Giant'

Crocus tommasinianus 'Ruby Giant' is a beautiful early-spring crocus with rich purple flowers. It is well suited to lawns, borders, rock gardens, and planting beneath deciduous trees, where it can create a natural-looking carpet of color.

Its compact growth makes it easy to combine with other spring bulbs and perennials. As one of the early flowers of the season, it can also provide valuable food for bees and other pollinators.

Watering and Care

Water when needed during the growing season, particularly during dry spells. Keep the soil lightly moist but well drained.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

Location

Plant in full sun or partial shade with well-draining soil.

Tip

Plant crocuses in groups for a cheerful early-season display. They work beautifully in borders, lawns, and naturalized areas.
