Yarrow 'Safran'

Achillea 'Safran' is a perennial, herbaceous plant with a bushy, upright growth habit and fine, fern-like leaves. It features striking saffron-yellow flowers that attract bees and butterflies.

This yarrow blooms continuously from June to September on long, upright stems and prefers a sunny location. It grows well in almost any soil, although well-drained soil is ideal.

Achillea 'Safran' is hardy, easy to care for, and resistant to wind and air pollution. A great reason to plant it in your garden is its ability to attract pollinators while adding bright, decorative flowers.

Care/Watering

Ensure the soil is well-drained and moderately moist. Achillea 'Safran' tolerates dry conditions well, but avoid prolonged waterlogging as this can cause root rot.

Maintenance

Regularly remove spent flowers to extend the blooming period. After flowering, cut back the stems to promote new growth and keep the plant compact.

Location

Plant Achillea 'Safran' in a sunny spot. The plant prefers full sun for abundant flowering and healthy growth.

Tip

Avoid overwatering and ensure the soil is well-drained. Mulching can help retain moisture and reduce weed growth.

Besides its decorative use, Achillea 'Safran' can also be used for other purposes. The leaves of this plant have medicinal properties and can be used to make remedies. Furthermore, the plant attracts butterflies and bees, making it an excellent choice to promote biodiversity in the garden.
