Dog's herb

Anacyclus depressus is a charming low-growing perennial that forms dense cushions of finely divided foliage topped with distinctive white flowers featuring deep red undersides. The blooms open fully in bright sunshine, creating a lively and eye-catching display in rock gardens, gravel beds, and the front of sunny borders. Well-drained, relatively dry soil encourages healthy growth and prolonged flowering throughout the season. Its compact habit and unusual flowers make it an attractive choice for alpine-style planting.

Care/Water

Anacyclus depressus requires regular watering during the growing season. Keep the soil lightly moist but avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot. During dry periods, water in the morning or evening to reduce evaporation.

Maintenance

Regularly remove dried leaves and faded flowers. Trim weak shoots lightly to promote healthy, vigorous growth. Light spring fertilization supports growth and flowering.

Location

Prefers sunny locations with well-draining soil. Ideal for rock gardens, flower beds, or borders, where it provides decorative height, structure, and color.
