- Long spring flowering period.
Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' starts the garden season with numerous pure white, star-shaped flowers that create a bright contrast with the finely cut green foliage. The low, carpet-forming growth habit makes it ideal for woodland edges, rock gardens, and naturalistic plantings. As an early-flowering hardy perennial, it provides valuable nourishment for bees and other pollinators.
Watering and Care
Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.
Maintenance
Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.
Location
A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
