Japanese anemone 'Pretty Lady Susan'

Anemone hupehensis 'Pretty Lady Susan' introduces vivid pink flowers to the autumn garden, providing lively colour when many summer-flowering plants have already faded. A tidy, compact growth habit makes it especially suitable for limited garden spaces, decorative pots, and smaller perennial borders. It grows best in fertile, fresh soil and rewards gardeners with abundant blooms while requiring very little maintenance. The nectar-rich flowers continue attracting bees throughout the late gardening season.

Care/Water

Anemone hupehensis 'Pretty Lady Susan' requires regular watering during the growing season to maintain healthy leaves and flowers. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging, as this could damage the roots. Water in the morning or evening, especially during warm and dry periods, for optimal hydration.

Maintenance

After flowering, remove dried flowers and old leaves to keep the plant healthy and tidy. Trim old or damaged stems to encourage new growth and abundant flowering. Light spring fertilization further supports the plant.
