Anemone hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson' decorates the late summer and autumn garden with elegant semi-double white flowers featuring a golden yellow centre. The upright flower stems rise above the dark green foliage and give the plant a graceful appearance. This hardy Japanese anemone adds lightness to semi-shaded borders and is frequently visited by bees.
Watering and Care
Anemone hybride 'Andrea Atkinson' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.
Maintenance
Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.
Location
A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
