Yellow chamomile

Anthemis tinctoria is one of the finest summer-flowering perennials, producing vibrant yellow daisy blooms from early summer well into autumn. Its naturally bushy habit makes it ideal for perennial borders, prairie gardens, and informal planting schemes where long-lasting colour is desired. Highly tolerant of drought, completely winter hardy, and requiring minimal care, it performs reliably in sunny locations. Continuous flowering over many months ensures an energetic and cheerful appearance throughout the season.

Care/Water

Anthemis tinctoria requires regular watering during the growing season, especially in hot weather. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging to prevent root damage. Water preferably in the morning or evening to provide optimal hydration and minimize evaporation.

Maintenance

Regularly remove old flowers and dead leaves to encourage healthy growth. Trim damaged stems to support strong new shoots. Light spring fertilization can extend flowering and improve plant vitality.

Location

Prefers sunny locations with well-draining, humus-rich soil. Ideal for borders, rock gardens, or beds where the yellow flowers stand out beautifully.

Tip

Attracts bees and butterflies. Regularly check soil moisture to keep the plant healthy and ensure long-lasting blooms.
