- Perfect for rock gardens, borders, and containers.

- Attracts pollinators.
Armeria maritima forms dense evergreen cushions of slender grass-like foliage topped with numerous pink flower heads from spring into early summer. Its compact habit makes it an excellent choice for rock gardens, gravel beds, dry stone walls, and sunny border edges, where it performs exceptionally well even in poor soils. Naturally tolerant of drought and salty conditions, it is equally suited to coastal gardens and exposed locations. The long-lasting blooms provide vibrant colour for many weeks while attracting bees and other pollinators.
Care/Water
Armeria maritima requires regular watering during the growing season. Keep the soil evenly moist, avoid waterlogging, and water especially on hot, dry days in the morning or evening to provide optimal care.
Maintenance
Regularly remove faded flowers and dead leaves to encourage healthy growth. Trim old flower stems so the plant can produce new blooms. Light spring fertilization supports strong shoots and abundant flowering.
Location
Prefers sunny, sheltered spots with well-draining soil. Ideal for rock gardens, rooftop gardens, or beds where the pink to purple flowers stand out beautifully.
Tip
Attracts bees and butterflies. Check soil moisture regularly, especially during prolonged dry periods, to maintain plant health and vitality.
