Wormwood 'Canescens'

Artemisia 'Canescens' is characterized by finely divided, silvery grey foliage that remains decorative throughout the entire gardening season. The compact growth habit adds structure to sunny borders, gravel gardens, and Mediterranean-style plantings. The delicate leaf texture creates a beautiful contrast with flowering perennials and grasses, allowing for versatile planting combinations.

Watering and Care

Artemisia 'Canescens' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.

Maintenance

Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.

Location

A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
