White asphodel

Asphodelus albus produces elegant spikes of pure white flowers that rise high above narrow grass-like foliage, bringing a distinctive Mediterranean character to sunny gardens. Its architectural flower stems create impressive vertical accents in rock gardens, gravel borders, and prairie-style landscapes. Warm, sunny locations with freely draining soil encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering each year. Combining graceful beauty with a bold silhouette, this perennial is a memorable addition to drought-tolerant plantings.

Care/Water

Asphodelus albus requires regular watering during the growing season. Keep the soil evenly moist, avoid waterlogging, and water preferably in the morning or evening, especially during warm, dry periods.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded leaves and flowers. Lightly cut back old shoots to encourage new growth and maintain a compact plant. Light spring fertilization supports healthy, strong stems and abundant flowering.
