Japanese aster 'Adustus Nanus'

Aster ageratoides 'Adustus Nanus' is a compact autumn aster covered with countless small white flowers that brighten the garden well into the late season. Dense growth makes it ideal as a ground cover, edging plant, or front-of-border perennial where neat structure is important. It adapts well to sunny and lightly shaded locations and continues looking fresh despite changing autumn weather. Its prolonged flowering period provides valuable colour and supports pollinating insects late in the year.

Care/Water

Aster ageratoides 'Adustus Nanus' requires regular watering during the growing season. Keep the soil slightly moist, avoid waterlogging, and water preferably in the morning or evening to provide optimal care.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers and leaves to promote healthy growth and abundant flowering. Light spring fertilization supports strong, healthy shoots. Prune only when necessary to maintain the plant’s natural form.

Location

Prefers sunny to partially shaded spots with humus-rich, well-draining soil. Ideal for perennial borders, beds, or natural-style gardens where the delicate flowers are especially decorative.
