This hardy perennial thrives in sun to partial shade, delivering a reliable, long-lasting display and forming a neat, compact clump. Ideal for borders and beds, it adds pollinator-friendly color and early autumn color to any planting scheme.

Care and Watering

Aster Kassel thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Water regularly in dry spells, keeping the top inch moist but not soggy. Mulch to retain moisture and deter weeds.

Maintenance

Deadhead faded blooms to extend flowering. In spring, lightly prune for shape and apply a balanced fertilizer.

Location

Choose a sunny, breezy spot with good air circulation. Avoid waterlogged beds and overly rich soil that promotes foliage over flowers.

Tips

Space 12–18 inches apart. Watch for powdery mildew in humid summers and prune after flowering for a neat, long-lasting display.
