Aster novi-belgii 'Royal Ruby' fills the garden with large ruby-red flowers that add rich autumn colour and striking visual impact. Bushy, vigorous growth supports an impressive abundance of blossoms that pair beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-flowering perennials. It performs best in sunny positions with freely draining soil, where it rewards gardeners with dependable flowering every season. This easy-care variety is ideal for extending colour well into autumn.

Care/Water

Aster novi-belgii 'Royal Ruby' requires regular watering throughout the growing and flowering season. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging, which can damage the roots. Watering is best done in the morning or late afternoon during hot summer days to reduce evaporation.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to extend the blooming period. Light pruning in spring helps rejuvenate the plant and encourage new shoots. Occasional light fertilization can also support healthy growth.

Location

Thrives best in full sun with well-draining, humus-rich soil. Partial shade is tolerated, but full sun ensures the most vibrant flowers.
