Aster 'Lutetia'

With its large lavender-violet flowers, Aster pyrenaeus 'Lutetia' creates elegant colour accents in late summer and autumn. The upright stems carry numerous flowers with yellow centres that stand out beautifully above the fresh green foliage. This hardy perennial is suitable for sunny borders and attracts many bees and butterflies.

Watering and Care

Aster pyrenaeus 'Lutetia' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.

Maintenance

Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.

Location

A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
