Rock cress 'Bressingham Red'

Aubrieta deltoides 'Bressingham Red' produces an abundant display of bright crimson-purple flowers in spring, almost completely covering the compact evergreen foliage. The low growth habit makes this aubrieta variety ideal for rock gardens, borders, and dry stone walls. With its rich flowering, it attracts numerous bees and other pollinating insects.

Watering and Care

Aubrieta deltoides 'Bressingham Red' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.

Maintenance

Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.

Location

A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
