This dark red tomato variety produces beautiful, deep red fruits when fully ripe. The tomatoes are wonderfully juicy and full of flavour, making them an excellent choice for growing fresh tomatoes in your vegetable garden, greenhouse or in a large pot.
Sow the tomato seeds under cover from February to April at around 20°C. After germination, transplant the young seedlings into individual pots and continue growing them in a bright location.
From mid-May onwards, the plants can be planted outdoors, in a greenhouse or in a large pot filled with nutrient-rich soil. Choose a warm, sunny position and support the plants with stakes as they grow.
Tomatoes can generally be harvested from July to October, providing a delicious crop of home-grown, dark red tomatoes throughout the season.
Grow the tomato plants in a warm, sunny position and keep the soil consistently moist without allowing it to become waterlogged.
As the plants grow, provide a sturdy stake or support and tie the stems loosely to it when necessary.
When growing in containers, use a sufficiently large pot filled with nutrient-rich soil. Harvest the tomatoes once they have developed their characteristic deep red colour, generally from July to October.
Sow the seeds from February to April under cover in a seed tray at approximately 20°C. Sow at a depth of around 0.5 cm. Germination usually takes 5–6 days.
Transplant the young seedlings into individual pots and continue growing them at 15–20°C in a bright location with plenty of light.
From mid-May onwards, plant them outdoors, in a greenhouse or in a large container filled with nutrient-rich soil. Allow approximately 70 cm between plants.
