Early variety, ideal for summer harvesting. The root is flattened, the smooth skin is red-violet in colour. Eaten young, the flesh is flavoursome. Cover with sand for a good shelf life. In situ, in rows 30 cm apart or better. The beet seed is multigerminated and produces several plants. Sort them out carefully to keep only the strongest ones. This is essential to obtain well-developed roots. Pull out the roots and defoliate them. They are then stored in a cellar or silo protected with straw. Beetroot loves the company of lettuce, onions and cabbage. It does not like to grow next to leeks or spinach. Sowing: April to May - Harvest: June to November
