Its reliable vigor supports steady fruiting, delivering glossy foliage and strong stems as it matures, pairing well with other berries in the garden. Enjoy a fruitful harvest season after season with large berries and an early-ripening profile that keeps flavor front and center.

Care and Watering

Water deeply to keep soil moist but well-drained; Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Spartan’ loves acidic, fertile soil and consistent moisture, avoiding drought and soggy roots.

Choose full sun to light shade in a sheltered spot; plant with good air circulation and mulch with pine needles to maintain acidity.

Mulch annually, prune lightly after harvest to encourage shape and fruiting, and feed with an acidic fertilizer in spring.

Use rainwater if possible, protect berries from birds with netting, and plant with other ericaceous companions to boost health and yields.
