  • Early spring blooms deliver bright colour when many plants are still dormant.
  • Fragrant yellow flowers that attract bees and other pollinators.
  • Compact 40-60 cm size, perfect for borders and smaller gardens.
  • Low-maintenance care, ideal for beginners and busy gardeners.
  • Drought-tolerant once established, suitable for well-drained sites.
Cytisus praecox Brem 40-60 C is a charming, early-flowering shrub valued for its abundant pea-like blossoms and airy silhouette. Fragrant blooms and bright spring color make it a standout in mixed plantings. This cultivar forms a neat, compact habit of 40-60 cm, ideal where space is limited. Glossy green foliage provides year-round interest. Robust and resilient, it adapts well to various garden soils and light conditions, offering long-lasting seasonal appeal. Easy-care and reliable.

Watering

Water moderately after planting and allow the top soil to dry between waterings. In summer keep a steady moisture level but avoid waterlogging; ensure good drainage.

Maintenance

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushiness. Remove dead wood and spent blossoms; mulch to conserve moisture.

Standplaats

Choose full sun with well-drained, moderately fertile soil. It tolerates poorer soils but dislikes soggy ground; shield from severe winter winds in cold regions.

Tips

Feed lightly in spring with a slow-release fertilizer. In containers, water more often in heat and propagate with semi-hardwood cuttings for best results.

Cytisus praecox Brem 40-60 C enchants with profuse, pea-like flowers that create a radiant spring display. Perfect as a focal accent among borders, it offers vibrant yellow blooms and a neat, compact habit that complements mixed plantings. Its graceful branching and subtle scent add year-after-year charm, making it a standout in any garden palette.
