This pumpkin has a pear-shaped fruit and a sugared, orange-coloured flesh with a fine texture. Keeps well. Sow the large seeds indoors at room temperature. Plant the seeds with the tip in the potting compost and cover with a 1 cm thick layer. Plant out from mid-May at a distance of 1 metre in nutrient-rich soil. The seeds can be sown directly into the garden from the end of May. Tip: Allow the seeds to germinate on moisture-absorbing kitchen paper before planting out. Optimum germination temperature: > 20 °C Average germination time: 6 days
