Euphorbia lathyris Caper Spurge stands tall with architectural stems and blue-green leaves, a striking addition to any plant collection. Its vigorous, upright habit creates a powerful presence in sunny spots. Architectural stems and bold texture set it apart. This species is impressive for its dramatic silhouette and seasonal interest, offering year-round appeal in the garden. Its robust growth and distinctive form invite curiosity from passersby, making a clear statement in borders and beds. Bold focal point for landscape design. Thriving in full sun, it resists drought and thrives with minimal fuss. The plant brings a unique, sculptural quality to naturalistic plantings, with late-spring blooms that catch the eye. Sunny spots and drought resilience enhance its garden-worthy appeal.

Care and Watering

Water sparingly, letting the soil dry between drinks; Euphorbia lathyris hates soggy roots. Use a gritty, well-draining mix and give bright sun.

Maintenance

Wear gloves for sap; prune back hard in spring to control growth and remove old leaves to prevent rot.

Location

Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot; avoid frost pockets. In pots, choose a large, drainage-friendly container.

Tips

Label as toxic, keep away from pets, and monitor seedlings as it can self-seed.

Caper Spurge makes a striking decorative statement in borders and rock gardens, adding architectural height and glow. Its bold, pale bracts create lasting impact among vaste planten and tuinplanten. From early spring to midsummer, the showy clusters light up beds with a unique charm, aligning with voorjaarsbloeiers and zomerbloeiers themes. This plant excels as a dramatic focal point in mixed borders. Ideal for a modern garden palette, Caper Spurge blends texture and colour in any winter-to-summer display, enhancing overall curb appeal and garden atmosphere. Euphorbia beauty at its finest.
