Cupid’s dart 'Alba'

Catananche caerulea 'Alba' brings elegant lightness to sunny borders with its pure white, daisy-like flowers. The slender flower stems move gently in the wind and create a natural dynamic effect in plantings. The narrow grey-green foliage complements the delicate appearance, while bees and butterflies are attracted to the nectar-rich flowers.

Watering and Care

Catananche caerulea 'Alba' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.

Maintenance

Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.

Location

A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.
