Roman chamomile 'Treneague'

Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' is a non-flowering variety with dense, finely divided, aromatic foliage that forms a soft evergreen carpet. The low-growing habit makes it particularly popular as a lawn alternative, between stepping stones, or as a spreading ground cover. Its intense fragrance and uniform structure give sunny garden areas a unique and elegant appearance.

Watering and Care

Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' grows best in well-drained soil that remains lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, additional watering helps maintain healthy growth and abundant flowering. Avoid overly wet conditions, as constantly saturated roots may reduce plant vigor.

Maintenance

Regularly removing faded flowers helps extend the display and keeps the plant looking tidy. Old stems and foliage can be cut back in early spring to encourage fresh new growth.

Location

A position in full sun or partial shade provides ideal growing conditions. Good light levels combined with suitable soil will encourage strong growth and reliable flowering.

Tip

Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' is an excellent choice for naturalistic borders and mixed perennial plantings. Many varieties are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.

Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' adds decorative accents to beds with delicate yellow flowers. Particularly in partially shaded areas, it looks harmonious and calm.

The plant grows as groundcover and visually lightens the bed.
