Coreopsis verticillata 'Fools Gold' produces brilliant golden-yellow flowers that brighten the garden with cheerful colour for many months. The delicate thread-like foliage gives the plant an airy appearance, making it an excellent companion for prairie-style borders and naturalistic plantings. It grows best in well-drained soil and is highly valued for its easy-care nature and long-lasting display.

Care/Water

Coreopsis verticillata requires regular watering, especially during warm and dry periods. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, while ensuring excess water can drain away. Watering in the early morning or evening helps reduce evaporation.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to extend the blooming period. Light pruning after the first flowering encourages fresh growth and a neat shape. A gentle spring fertilization supports healthy development.

Location

Prefers a sunny location with well-drained soil. It can tolerate light partial shade, although flowering may be slightly reduced. Avoid overly wet or compacted soil.
