Care & Water
Water deeply during the first growing season to establish roots, then water moderately. Cornus mas dislikes waterlogged soil; ensure good drainage and mulch to conserve moisture.
Maintenance
Maintenance: prune lightly after harvest to maintain shape and remove dead wood. Feed in early spring with a balanced fertilizer, and clean up fallen fruit to prevent pests.
Location
Location: plant in full sun to light shade. It tolerates cold winters and prefers rich, well-drained soil. Avoid excessive shade which reduces flowering.
Tips
Tips: grafted varieties establish faster; protect new shoots from late frosts. Birds enjoy the berries, so consider netting, and keep weeds down around the base.
Cornus mas 25x Gele kornoelje, 60 - 90, BW showcases striking early-yellow blossoms and vivid edible berries, offering standout seasonal color and appealing texture as an ornamental element in mixed plantings.
Supplied as blote wortel bw, this pack is a cost-effective choice for projects favoring uniformity and impact, suited to both haagplanten and bosplanten categories.
