The plant showcases purple-tinged foliage opposite clusters of bright chartreuse blooms, creating year‑round texture and contrast. Its growth is naturally tidy and enduring, suited to mixed borders.
A hardy, easy-care perennial, it thrives in sun and well-drained soil, delivering early spring color and structure to the garden without fuss.
Care and Watering
Plant in full sun with a gritty, well-drained mix. Water sparingly—let the soil dry between drinks; avoid overwatering, which can rot roots.
Maintenance
Remove spent blooms to keep a tidy cushion shape. Wear gloves when handling the milky sap; prune lightly after flowering if needed.
Location
Choose a sunny, open spot with drainage. Prefers arid soils; mulching helps conserve moisture and prevent weed competition.
Tips
Feed lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer; propagate by division or cuttings in spring; keep away from high humidity.
Euphorbia polychroma ‘Purpurea’ Wolfsmelk brings early color with deep purplish-red tones and delicate yellow flowers; a true spring bloomer that attracts attention.
As perennial with striking leaves and compact growth, it is ideal for rock and wall gardens, and gives your border immediate character and structure.
