Care/Water
Dianthus allwoodii requires regular watering during the growing season, without overwatering. Soil should be well-drained, slightly humus-rich, and loose to prevent root rot. Water in the early morning or evening during hot days to reduce evaporation.
Maintenance
Regularly remove faded flowers and dead plant parts to encourage new blooms. Light pruning after flowering supports compact shoots and a neat shape. Spring fertilization helps the plant stay healthy and vital.
Location
Prefers sunny locations with well-drained soil. Ideal for beds, rock gardens, and borders. The plant is hardy but needs protection from waterlogging and strong winds.
Tip
Mulching helps retain moisture and reduce weeds. Dianthus allwoodii attracts bees and butterflies. Check soil moisture regularly to avoid over- or under-watering.
