Care & Water

Hedera helix likes bright, indirect light and evenly moist, well-draining soil. Water when the top inch dries, avoid waterlogged roots, and mist occasionally in dry rooms.

Maintenance

Trim brown edges, prune leggy growth in spring, repot every 2–3 years, and check for pests like scale and spider mites.

Placement

Place in bright indirect light; tolerates lower light but grows slower. Keep away from cold drafts and heating vents. Ideal indoor temps ~15–24°C.

Tips

Use a peat-based mix, propagate cuttings in water or moist soil, wipe leaves for gloss, and train vines on a trellis or pot edge.
