A robust native with adaptable charm, Field Scabious adds life and texture to any planting plan.

Care and Watering

Use well-drained soil; water sparingly once established, drought-tolerant but prefers regular moisture in hot summers.

Maintenance

Deadhead to prolong bloom; divide clumps every 3–4 years to keep vigor.

Location

Full sun to light shade; ideal in borders or wildflower patches with prairie vibes.

Tips

Mulch in spring, avoid heavy fertilizer, and cut back in late autumn to reduce dead material.

Knautia arvensis 'Beemdkroon' brings with its fine inflorescences a summery touch to borders and prairie plantings.
