  • Tough and low-maintenance, hardy in many climates.

Water

Water generously during the first year to establish roots; keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Once established, it tolerates drought but prefers deep watering in hot, dry periods.

Maintenance

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove dead or crossing wood. Apply a slow-release balanced fertilizer in spring for steady growth.

Placement

Plant in a sunny to partly shaded spot with well-drained soil. It adapts to various soils but dislikes persistent waterlogged conditions.

Tips

Support with a trellis or hedge for structure. Monitor for pests and diseases; mulch to conserve moisture and reduce weeds.

Pyracantha coccinea ‘Red Column' Vuurdoorn 60-80 C - a striking addition to garden plants, ornamental shrubs and pyracantha collections. Slim, upright silhouette makes a strong architectural statement.
