Miscanthus sinensis ‘Flamingo’ Flamingo Maiden Grass is a tall ornamental grass with soft pink plumes and graceful, arching blades. A standout for its elegant silhouette.
This vigorous, clump-forming perennial reaches about 120-150 cm in height and 60-80 cm wide, offering year-round structure with impressive seasonal color.
Thrives in sun to partial shade, adapts to many soils, and delivers stunning plumes and season-long interest for a natural, friendly garden look.
Water
Water regularly during establishment and keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. In hot summers, deep water every 1–2 weeks if rainfall is scarce.
Maintenance
Cut back dead leaves in early spring and divide every 3–4 years to maintain vigor. Mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
Placement
Choose a sunny, well-drained site; Flamingo prefers full sun but tolerates light shade. Plant in fertile soil for best color and density.
Tips
Group with similar grasses for a bold effect; avoid overwatering; remove spent plumes after flowering for a tidy look.
