Water deeply after planting and during growth, keeping soil evenly moist but not soggy. In hot summers, mulch to retain moisture and reduce weeds.

Maintenance

Remove spent flowers and divide clumps every 3–4 years to maintain vigor. Sterilize tools to prevent disease.

Standplaats

Choose full sun to light shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Plant bulbs 5–8 cm deep, 15–25 cm apart for best bloom.

Tips

Support tall stems with stakes; plant near borders for drama. Avoid over-watering in winter to prevent rot and bulb decay.

Allium giganteum 'Sierui' presents bold, spherical blooms of vivid purple that create striking architectural accents and dynamic seasonal interest. Its globular flowerheads form eye-catching clusters that stand out in prairie mixes and floral compositions. A true pollinator-magnet and excellent as long-lasting cut flowers, these dramatic pom-poms add texture, height and sculptural beauty to any planting scheme.
