Water and care
Keep soil evenly moist and water deeply in dry periods. Mulch to conserve moisture and feed lightly in spring. Prefers full sun to light shade and rich, well-drained soil; avoid waterlogging.
Maintenance
Remove dead wood in late winter, shape lightly after flowering, and monitor for pests. Use clean tools and avoid over-pruning to keep natural form.
Standplaats
Plant in full sun to partial shade on moist, well-drained soil. Provide space for its spreading habit and ensure good drainage near paths or foundations.
Tips
Propagate by softwood cuttings in summer. Prune after flowering for a dense hedge; protect roots from heat and harsh winds in exposed locations.
