Sunflower microphyllus 'Anne'

Helianthus microphyllus 'Anne' delights with bright yellow flowers and slender, elegant foliage that gives the plant a refined appearance. From late summer into autumn it provides cheerful colour while attracting a wide range of pollinators. Its upright habit makes it an excellent structural plant for sunny perennial borders.

Care/Water

Helianthus microphyllus 'Anne' prefers humus-rich, well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the growing season. Ensure the soil remains evenly moist, as this promotes strong shoots and abundant flowers without the roots sitting in water.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to keep the plant healthy and attractive. Light pruning after flowering supports new shoots and extends the flowering period, keeping the plant appealing for longer.

Location

Prefers sunny, wind-protected locations with good air circulation. Ideal for beds, borders, or naturalistic plantings where the pale yellow flowers stand out and provide decorative appeal.

Tip

Mulching around the plant helps retain moisture and reduce weeds. Regular monitoring for pests and diseases ensures the plant remains healthy and produces abundant blooms.
