Daylily 'Mary Todd'

Hemerocallis 'Mary Todd' brings bright golden-yellow flowers that fill the garden with cheerful summer colour and exceptional flower production. The vigorous blooms appear over an extended period and combine beautifully with ornamental grasses or purple-flowering perennials. This robust daylily is winter hardy, long-lived, and wonderfully easy to grow.

Care/Water

Hemerocallis 'Mary Todd' should be watered regularly throughout the growing and flowering season, especially during hot summer days, to keep the leaves healthy and ensure the bright pink blooms reach their full intensity. The soil should be humus-rich, well-drained, and evenly moist to prevent waterlogging that could damage the roots.

Maintenance

Regularly remove old leaves and faded flowers to maintain a vigorous plant and extend the flowering period. Light pruning after flowering encourages new shoots and ensures the plant stays compact and blooms abundantly next year.

Location

Prefers sunny to partially shaded locations with humus-rich, well-drained soil. Perfect for borders, flowerbeds, or natural-style plantings, as the bright pink blooms provide striking accents and visually enrich the garden.
