This early-ripening variety is versatile in sun-filled spots and adapts well to common garden conditions, offering robust growth and steady fruiting. Enjoy a classic dessert grape with a light, refreshing flavor.
Ideal for hobby gardeners seeking a tasty, fruit-forward harvest, its vine-family compatibility makes it a crowd-pleasing fresh fruit option for the table.
Care and Watering
Himrod grapes need deep, even moisture in well-drained soil. Water at planting and during dry spells; avoid soggy feet. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Maintenance
Prune in late winter, train on a sturdy trellis, remove old wood, and monitor for pests. Apply organic controls if needed.
Location
Plant in full sun with good air circulation and a sheltered site. Provide sturdy support as the vine grows.
Tips
Feed lightly in spring, mulch yearly, and harvest when grapes are fully colored and sweet.
Himrod table grape combines lush foliage with clusters of small, golden-yellow grapes that in summer form an attractive, tasty eye-catcher. The fresh, sweet flavor makes this edible table grape popular for direct consumption.
’Himrod’ delivers a steady, high yield and, thanks to early ripening, a striking ornamental value; ideal for those seeking an early-ripening and decorative cultivar with pronounced autumn color.
