Bearded iris 'Hellblau Lila'

Iris germanica 'Hellblau Lila' produces large flowers with a harmonious blend of pale blue and soft lilac tones. Blooming throughout May and June, the elegant flowers rise gracefully above the narrow grey-green foliage. Its upright habit adds height and structure to sunny borders and perennial beds. Thanks to its excellent hardiness, this bearded iris remains a beautiful and reliable garden plant for many years.

Care/Water

The Iris 'Hellblau Lila' should be watered regularly, with well-draining soil to avoid standing water. Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during hot summer months. Morning watering protects leaves and flowers while supporting strong growth. Avoid soggy conditions that can harm the roots.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and damaged leaves regularly. Cut back old shoots after flowering to keep the plant compact. Regular maintenance ensures long-lasting and vibrant blooms.

Location

A sunny and bright location is optimal for growth and flowering. Good air circulation reduces the risk of fungal diseases. Partial shade is tolerated but may reduce bloom quality.

Tip

Loosen the soil regularly to improve water absorption. Mulching helps retain moisture and nutrients, making maintenance easier.

Iris germanica 'Hellblau Lila' combines light green foliage with pale blue flowers, ideal for borders where a subtle, calming accent is desired. The foliage supports the blooms and keeps the plant healthy.
