Bearded iris 'Lime Fizz'

Iris germanica 'Lime Fizz' stands out with its fresh lime-yellow flowers, giving the garden a modern and distinctive appearance. The large blooms emerge in late spring, adding unusual colour among traditional bearded irises. Grey-green foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season, forming dense clumps that provide lasting structure. This hardy variety is an excellent addition to sunny borders.

Care/Water

The Iris 'Lime Fizz' needs regular watering, especially during warm days. The soil should be well-drained to prevent standing water. Consistent moisture supports strong roots and healthy foliage. Avoid waterlogged conditions to prevent root rot.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and old leaves regularly. Light pruning after flowering encourages new growth. Consistent maintenance ensures strong plants and abundant blooms.

Location

This Iris thrives in a sunny location with good air circulation. Partial shade is tolerated but may reduce flowering. Open spaces help prevent fungal diseases.

Tip

Loosen the soil around the plant regularly. A thin mulch layer retains moisture and makes maintenance much easier.
