Bearded iris MIX

Iris germanica MIX offers a colourful collection of large-flowered bearded irises in a wide range of shades. From white, yellow, and pink to blue, violet, and deep purple, the mixture creates a vibrant display in late spring. Decorative sword-shaped foliage provides lasting structure even after flowering has finished. These hardy varieties are perfect for sunny borders and diverse perennial garden combinations.

Care/Water

The Iris MIX requires regular watering throughout the growing season. The soil should always be moist but well-drained to prevent standing water. Water directly at the roots and avoid wet foliage to prevent fungal infections. Consistent watering promotes strong roots and healthy leaf growth.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers and dead leaves so the plant can focus energy on new buds. After flowering, allow the leaves to die back before removing them. Use organic fertilizer to support growth and flowering next year. Check the plant regularly for damage.

Location

The Iris MIX thrives in a sunny location with good air circulation. Partial shade is tolerated but reduces flowering. Ensure the soil is well-drained. An open spot protects the plant from fungal diseases and promotes healthy shoots.

Tip

A helpful tip is to apply a mulch layer after flowering to retain moisture and nutrients. This keeps the plant vital and ready for the next flowering period. Regular checks make maintenance easier.

Iris germanica MIX combines different colors of fresh green foliage with flowers that give borders a varied and lively accent. The foliage supports the blooms and keeps the plant healthy and graceful.
