Care and Watering
Stachys byzantina, or Lamb's Ear, prefers light, well-drained soil and full sun. Water deeply but allow the soil to dry between sessions; avoid soggy roots to prevent rot.
Maintenance
Remove spent flowers and trim after flowering to keep foliage compact. Divide every 3-4 years to refresh growth. Mulch lightly to protect roots in winter.
Location
Plant in a sheltered, sunny border or rock garden. It tolerates drought once established and pairs well with silvery foliage and Mediterranean perennials.
Tips
Use Lamb's Ear as ground cover or in containers. Ensure good air circulation and avoid heavy feeding; a light spring fertilizer helps.
