- Narrow-leaved waterweegbree ideal for pond edges and marsh zones.
- Low-maintenance and easy to propagate.
- White flowers attract insects and increase biodiversity.
- Suitable for shallow water and damp ground.
- Robust wetland plant that is hardy and reliable.
Care and Watering
Alisma lanceolatum thrives in full sun to partial shade and needs consistently moist soil or shallow standing water. Water to keep the substrate damp, not waterlogged. In ponds, provide 2–6 inches of water above the root zone.
Location
Plant along pond margins, bog gardens, or in aquatic containers with nutrient-rich soil and space for its tall, lance-shaped leaves to rise above the surface.
Maintenance
Remove spent leaves, divide every 2–3 years to reduce crowding, and feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring and summer. Provide partial sun.
Tips
Monitor water quality, avoid chlorine, and propagate by rhizome division in spring for best results.
