Shasta daisy 'Becky'

Leucanthemum 'Becky' is admired for its especially large, brilliant white flowers with golden-yellow centres and its strong upright growth. Flowering from summer into early autumn, it provides long-lasting colour in the garden. Thanks to its sturdy stems, the blooms remain upright even in windy conditions. This hardy Shasta daisy is an excellent choice for sunny perennial borders and cottage gardens.

Care/Water

Leucanthemum 'Becky' requires regular watering during the growing season, especially in dry, warm weather. The soil should be well-drained, humus-rich, and slightly moist to support strong blooms and healthy shoots. Water at the base and avoid wetting foliage to prevent fungal issues. Consistent watering promotes a healthy plant and long-lasting flowering.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to encourage new shoots. Light pruning after flowering keeps the plant compact and healthy. Organic fertilizer in spring promotes lush flowering and strong shoots. Check regularly for pests to maintain vitality.

Location

This Leucanthemum prefers sunny locations with well-drained soil. Partial shade is tolerated but may reduce flower abundance. Open, lightly sheltered areas promote healthy plants, strong shoots, and long-lasting flowering through summer.

Tip

After flowering, lightly prune the plant and apply mulch around the base. This keeps the plant healthy, encourages strong shoots, and extends the flowering period.

Leucanthemum 'Becky' features fresh foliage and medium-sized blooms, adding lively accents to perennial borders and beds. The foliage supports the flowers and ensures healthy plant growth.
