Ligularia 'Little Rocket'

Ligularia 'Little Rocket' produces slender upright flower spikes covered with bright yellow blooms from July through September above its dark green foliage. Despite its compact habit, this perennial creates strong vertical interest in partially shaded borders and beside ponds. The large leaves remain attractive well into autumn, providing a beautiful contrast with the vivid flowers.

Care/Water

Ligularia 'Little Rocket' requires consistent watering during the growing season, especially in warm weather. The soil should be moist, well-drained, and nutrient-rich to encourage strong leaves and healthy flower spikes. Water at the base and avoid wetting foliage to prevent fungal diseases. Regular moisture supports growth and plant vitality.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to encourage new shoots and extend the flowering period. Pruning in late autumn helps remove old leaves and maintain plant health. Organic fertilizer in spring promotes strong blooms and robust stems. Check the plant for pests.

Location

This Ligularia prefers partially shaded to sunny locations with moist, well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogging as it can damage the roots. Open and airy spots encourage strong leaves and healthy plant development.

Tip

Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture and reduce weeds. This keeps the plant vital, healthy, and flowering throughout the season.

Ligularia 'Little Rocket' impresses with fresh, robust foliage and bright flower spikes, prominently accenting beds and borders. The foliage supports the flowers and ensures healthy plants.
