Saxifraga urbium London Pride is a compact, evergreen perennial with neat rosettes and delicate pink flowers in spring. This hardy alpine plant forms a soft cushion that partners well with rocks and alpine-style settings. Known for easy to grow and sun-loving resilience, London Pride adds texture and colour to borders, rock gardens, and containers. It brings year-round appeal to any garden space with vibrant foliage and cheerful blooms.

Care and Watering

Saxifraga urbium “London Pride” thrives in bright, indirect light with well‑drained soil. Water to keep the mix just damp in growing season; reduce in winter and avoid soggy roots.

Location

Use a rock garden, alpine bed, or gritty container. It enjoys sun in cool areas but appreciates some shade in heat.

Maintenance

Deadhead flowers, remove old leaves, and divide every 2–3 years to refresh vigor.

Tips

Mulch lightly, water at soil level, and ensure excellent drainage for a compact, vibrant clump.

Urban saxifrage Schildersverdriet brings fine flower clusters and a charming compact growth that enlivens any border. Ideal as a striking spring-flowering and summer-flowering plant with soft tones.
