Lupin 'Minarette'

Lupinus 'Minarette' remains compact while producing dense flower spikes in a colourful mix of blue, pink, red, yellow, and white. The upright blooms appear in early summer above attractive palmate foliage, bringing vibrant colour to the garden. This hardy lupine is an excellent choice for sunny perennial borders, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings, where bees and butterflies eagerly visit the flowers.

Care/Water

Lupinus 'Minarette' requires regular watering during the growing season, especially on dry summer days. The soil should be well-drained, moist, and nutrient-rich to develop strong flower spikes and healthy foliage. Water at the base and avoid wetting the leaves to prevent fungal diseases. Consistent moisture supports lush flowering and strong plants.

Maintenance

Regularly remove faded flowers to direct energy to new blooms. After flowering, old flower spikes can be cut back to encourage the next bloom. Organic fertilizer supports strong flowers and healthy foliage. Check the plant regularly for pests.

Location

Lupinus 'Minarette' grows best in sunny locations with well-drained, moist soil. Avoid waterlogging to prevent root damage. Open, airy spots promote strong plants and a long flowering period.
