This cultivar provides reliable structure and a year-round presence, with dense growth and attractive winter colour. Supplied as a kluit (rootballed) at 100-125 cm, Blue Prince is valued for its steady performance and architectural form.

Watering

Water deeply during dry spells, keeping soil evenly moist but not soggy. Mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds; check moisture weekly in hot summers.

Maintenance

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape, remove dead or crossing branches, and avoid heavy pruning to protect the evergreen form.

Location

Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained acidic soil. Protect from harsh winds and mulch in autumn to insulate roots.

Tips

Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring. Watch for scale; Blue Prince remains attractive year-round with minimal fuss.
