Daffodil 'Actaea'

Mukdenia rossii is admired for its decorative maple-like foliage, which turns brilliant shades of red in autumn. Delicate white flowers appear on upright stems in spring, even before the leaves have fully unfolded. This hardy clump-forming perennial is ideal for partially shaded woodland edges and humus-rich shaded borders.

Care/Water

Mukdenia rossii requires regular watering during the growing season, especially during warm, dry days. The soil should be humus-rich, well-drained, and evenly moist to develop strong plants with attractive foliage and healthy flowering. Consistent moisture supports vitality and lush leaf coloration.

Maintenance

Regularly remove old leaves and faded flowers to keep the plant fresh and encourage new shoots. Prune in spring to maintain growth habit. Organic fertilization supports health and flowering. Monitor for pests and diseases.

Location

Mukdenia rossii prefers a partially shaded location with humus-rich, well-drained soil. Protection from direct afternoon sun preserves delicate foliage. Good air circulation ensures healthy plants and reduces fungal issues.
